SOUTHERN PINES, NC – The Culinary Showcase, one of the premier events of the fall calendar for the Moore County Chamber of Commerce comes to the Fair Barn, in Pinehurst, NC, on Sunday, October 18, 2009. Sixteen of Moore County’s chefs will be competing for The Culinary Cup (Best in Show), Best Entrée, Best Appetizer, Best Dessert Awards, and People’s Choice. This event showcases Moore County’s extraordinary dining scene. The Culinary Showcase is made possibly through a partnership with by UNC Pembroke. Participating Restaurants and Caterers include The Darling House Pub & Grill, Dog Nation Grill, Elliott’s on Linden, Fried Green Tomatoes, Henry’s Gelato, Little River Golf & Resort, The Magnolia Inn, Penick Village, The Pine Crest Inn, Pinehurst, LLC, Rhett’s Personal Chef & Catering, Shuckers Oyster Bar & Grill (as of 8/26/09)
Sample their incredible creations for one entry price of $50 per ticket, which includes all food and drink. Door prizes and raffle to win Grand Prize. Doors open at 5:00pm, with the event concluding at 7:30pm. 2 culinary scholarships will be awarded. Tickets are $50, are limited and currently on sale.
