| For nearly a decade the golf mecca located in the North Carolina Sandhills has been referred to as the Home of American Golf. Golfers flock to our community each year – especially the spring in the fall to soak up the history, walk the same fairways a Hogan, Nicklaus, Palmer and Woods. The area has grown over the years to include 44 championship courses designed by the who’ who of American golf architecture including Ross, Maples, Jones an Fazio, along with many of the legends who competed on the area links before they designed their own. In 2007 the very best women’s golfers from around the world will return to here for the third installment of the U.S. Women’s Open at Pine Needles.
